Citizen science achievements
If the number of scientific studies that produced results as published works, then citizen science does a remarkable job. Fundamentally, if citizen science didn't produce scientifically-accepted results, then no-one would use it. This is just not the case; highly respected scientists put their names on studies that have involved a few volunteers or hundreds of thousands. Hard cash is used to fund citizen science projects.
