FROM the Independent, an article detailing Costa Rica's fight against prolonged ransomware attacks. A gang called Conti launched the first attack against the Costa Rican government in April 2022 and demanded a US$20 million payout. A second attack, attributed to a group known as Hive, knocked out the public health service and other systems.
